You can reapply perfumes after few hours as they evaporate rapidly from the skin. The strongest smell that can be derived from a perfume is when these are applied on the crooks of arms, neck, behind the ears and wrist.

The EDT perfume bottle must be stored in a dry and cool place to extend its shelf life.

It’s important to preserve the perfumes as it gets degraded if not kept carefully. Earlier all perfumes were available in bottles which were open and with caps on them. The fragrance was intact in these bottles for almost a year. The perfumes’ fragrance would change eventually with by using scent as the scent altered on exposure to oxygen from the bottle’s empty space.

Best bottles for perfume preservation:

Aluminum bottles which are light and tight are best to preserve perfumes and this is more so on refrigeration of these bottles at temperatures which are low ranging from 4 – 8 degree Celsius. Minimum oxygen contact is achieved by using sprays and hence these bottles were preferred.

Today almost all EDT perfumes are available in bottles that can be sprayed because of which the perfume does not get mixed with oxygen outside, dust, etc, and hence the long life of the scents quality.
